I have seen the Fairmount park Water Works many times on the way to Philadelphia, just never knew what it was. Always thought it was a part of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Once Priya decided that she wanted the engagement photos taken at the “Fairmount Water Works” I had to look it up online. So pleasantly surprised to see that not only was it an amazing location for Philadelphia engagement photos, it’s actually a restaurant (The Water Works Restaurant) and a great venue for weddings – the Gazebo overlooking the Boathouse Row, the Grand Pavillion and the tented Millhouse Deck by the Schuykill River. Oh! back to the engagement session, we had a blast there but it was getting cold.
After running around the Water Works we hopped in a cab and went to the “Old City, Philadelphia” – Washington Square neighborhood. I think we were in Vine street and Quince street. Loved the cobblestone roads and the brick townhouses, just the perfect setup for an intimate engagement photo shoot. And then into another cab to Monk’s Cafe. This is where they met for their first date and this where Amar proposed to Priya.
Hope you enjoy their Philadelphia engagement session. Looking forward to their wedding !
